The back isn t supportive at all--leaning against it makes me feel like it s nothing more than particle board wrapped in fabric. The chair is also quite a bit larger than I expected. However, if you re just looking for something to sit in a guest room and look pretty, this may work for you. It was a great value at the time of purchase.
